Corpse Bride is not a succes.. if anything, it proved cult movies are just that, cult movies, they don't work for a bigger audience. Chicken Little doesn't go after that audience, Disney's marketing machine, wich is working overtime right now, will shove it down everyone's throut and it will make money. Plus, it's in Pixar's old time slot, there's no way this film is gonna flop, regardless of how bad/good it really is.

I really think Corpse Bride would have benefited if it was released under Disney the way Nightmare Before Christmas was. Just shows you the power of Disney distribution and how Pixar should be careful about throwing that away.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Chicken Little is everywhere! I mean, EVERYWHERE! Even in the Amazing Maize Maze!

Honestly, I'm going to get sick of his character before even seeing the movie!

Yay! Pointless activities!Meg wrote:We should start doing Chicken Little sightings!
Sadly, I won't be able to do so for some time as it only comes out here in February, so I think we're gonna be three months behind in the Chicken hype.

God I totally spoiled the movie for myself because now our school book store carries the DK "Essential Guide" to Chicken Little.
I honestly think DK should release eht "Essential Guide" more for classic movies like StarWars, Indiana Jones, Gone With The Wind, and classic Disney film. It feels too odd when you have a book like that explaining a movie that JUST came out
I think me and my boyfriend will see HP4 instead...

to the contrary...
I think you'll find Disney is heavily invested in a long line of original ideas that will span a decade or more of production time. What's even more promising is the diversity of ideas and styles in that line up.
Sequels are untapped markets. Unfortunately, they get tapped dry and its always at a great expense to the characters and nostalgia of the original film(s). Wallstreet, shareholders, and quarterly earning will always be the decisive force, not gooshy feelings about films and characters we hold dear to us.
