In addition to hoping that Singer returns I'm also hoping Ottman returns to cut and score. He and Singer were always a team and I really can't see Ottman returning if Singer doesn't.

I didn't like The Last Stand as a movie, but John Powell's score was magnificent. It's my favorite X-Men score. If Singer (who uses Ottman) or Vaughn (who uses Henry Jackman) don't direct the next one, Powell would be my dream pick to return to the franchise. There's pretty much no chance of him coming back though, what with the extended sabbatical from film scoring he's taking after HTTYD 2.

I actually can't remember it very well but when I eventually get the entire X-Men movie set I'll definitely check it out. :)

One of the assault suits dropped by the accuser:

It's possible Singer's might be next.

"Confirmation" or not, I still have my extreme doubts. But we'll see what happens.

You know, if you look back, reviews for X3 were actually fairly decent. It was hardly "critically reviled" like that and other pieces want us to believe it was.

Beast was very cool--Kelsey Grammer was absolutely perfect. Hugh Jackman was excellent as usual; it's impossible for me to see any other actor play Wolverine.

A bit off topic: Michael Kamen's X1 score still isn't available as far as I know, at least on iTunes. Hopefully it will be soon; that was actually a very good score IMHO.

Edit: the CD is on Amazon. Hope it comes to iTunes soon.

Doesn't Ratner remember that he *did* direct Rush Hour 3!? Seems we *all* want to forget that one! ;)

Director's cut to come out later this year (on blu ray).

If it's like The Wolverine, they will only include it on the 3-D edition...which in the case of The Wolverine, at least, was worth the extra money.

Of course, with The Wolverine they put the extended cut in 2D only, with the original cut there in 3D. So, that was kinda pointless. Personally, I'd rather have the longer cut and skip the 3D altogether, if it would save on the price. Not that it would, necessarily.
