Well, finally some good news: DW has a brand new partnership with McDonald's (McD's finally finished out the Disney deal which they wanted out of anyway) for the next few years. The first film that will be released with a Happy Meal is Shrek 3. Also, DW will let McDonald's use their facilities to make commericals in which DW characters actually interact with....Ronald McDonald! (but he won't appear in any of the movies

).
I think this will help DW a lot when it comes to promotion and marketing.
BTW yesterday I thought I was hallucinating when I happened to see "Jepeordy!" and one of the categories was "Radio Disney".

What the....?

Whoa...This is so weird to me! What happened to DW's deal with Burger King?

I don't think it was exclusive to DW the way the Disney-McD's one was. (Wasn't Robots promoted in Burger King or something?) The Disney-McD's one was drawn up to last ten years (very rare in itself) and now the time has run out. But the DW-McD's deal isn't exclusive either, so Disney might still promote films with McD's in the future.
Kinda confusing....

You have to remember, also, that Disney always had a steady stream of product, be it the animated films or live-action family flicks, that they could draw on.
Going back to DWs small slates, they only have one or two big animated films a year, and fairly little live-action family pictures.

Uh, back on the subject of the movie itself.
I have this thing now where I can't look at a ring-tailed lemur without thinking "I like to move it, move it!".
Anyhoo, I think the king lemur's possibly the best character, but that may just be me.

Can't get my youngest daughter to stop singing it either. heh.
And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. My two cents.

Ringtail lemurs are so cute. And they sound funny.

Yeah. They're one of my favorite knids of animal. Another of my favorites is penguins.

Hooow (un)original

Actually, that was my favourite part of the film. It's a shame the rest of the film was so poor. That's making me dubious about this picture. I may see this next week. I have nobody to go and see it, but I may drag my brother into the cinema to see it. He's not a big fan of animation (he claims

), but I'll try to make him follow me.

This is kind of a neat picture, which used to be on animated-movies I think:

It kind of makes you sad though, 'cause now that's pretty much all gone.

Funny how that pic is all about Katzenberg.
Geffen is over on the left, kinda trying to be included and look interested, and Steve's over the far side, stuck in the dark behind the construction crane and looking really miffed.
All the while, JK is pointing stuff out and laying out the plans. Funny...

Yeah I thought that too!

It kinda makes sense. I didn't think Steve looked mad or anything but maybe he was that day....
And Geffen is just like, "Whatever..."
Plus what's that other thing laying on the grass? It looks like a lacrosse net or something.
