But too, once people heard Toy Story 3 was in the making, I'm pretty sure fans went bonkers for it immediatley. In some ways, it's kind of not fair that Dragon doesn't get as much hype as Toy Story 3. Understandibly, there hasn't been a TS sequel for almost a decade, so I can see where the excitement is coming from. No doubt Toy story will be a great film, (which I'm planning on seeing anyway), but come on folks, HTTYD raellyhas potential to be a great film and will reach to a wide audience. Sure, I haven't seen it yet, and I'm not getting my hopes up too early in the longrun, but I ceratinly think Pixar has SOME kind of competition. You have to admit that it looks better than previous DreamWorks films...

Well, so far, there's no final scene of the dragons all dancing to a karaoke party, if that's what you mean...

OK, I'll hand it to Eric. That was funny. :)

However, I'll reiterate that I was really impressed with Kung Fu Panda, and Monsters Vs. Aliens was fine for what it was.

Ha ha. No. There probably won't be a dance party. I know it's just a joke, and yes, Eric J's comment was humorous.Kinda. Just at the moment, I really am looking forward for this movie doing very well. lets get serious though...jokes don't go over well with me when I am greatly anticipating something. The nerves you know? just a quirky thing I guess. :)
So Eric J...thinking about walking out on this one or not? :D

Actually, I've been looking forward to the project ever since Chris Sanders became attached to it. Considering he was responsible for the most un-Disney-like Disney film (and still did an excellent job), I'm sure he will provide something not in the usual DreamWorks ballpark. Even the cast is kind of un-orthodox. Jay Baruchel is hardly a house-hold name.

Wow, awesome that they got David Tennant from Doctor Who to narrate that! :)
(I know he also did the audiobook.)

At the top of the Japanese poster, in blue text, that's "Lilo and Stitch"! I recognize the Japanese spelling of Stitch anywhere. (スティッチ) Don't ask how! ;)

No doubt that reads something like "From the Director of Lilo And Stitch" or "From the team that brought you...", but very well spotted! :)

That's what I thought as first, but it simply looks the title. L&S in Japanese is "リロ&スティッチ".

Although I should mention the actual trailer basically hits you over the head with the fact. Both on screen and read it says "Produced by the director of Lilo and Stitch". Even the title -- "Hick and Dragon" -- sounds like L&S, in that it's human and creature.

I still can't believe this film was finished in a year. Animation does wonders, don't it?
I love all things cinema, from silent movies to world cinema to animated cinema to big blockbusters to documentaries and everything in between!
