Everyone's seen SW by now. That's probably part of the reason.

That's the problem with having an enormous opening weekend. Funny thing is, I don't know a single person around here who has told me that they've seen Madagascar OR The Longest Yard.

I haven't!
Why are you all looking at me like that?
Yeah...I'm suprised about Madagascar/Longest Yard being on top. I only know one person who's seen Madagascar, and she didn't like it. Oh - and I think I know someone who's seen LY, only I'm not sure if he liked it or not...besides, he's a jerk anyway, so feh.

I can tell you now that I will not like The Longest Yard.

Same here...which is why I'm not seeing it.
About that King Lemur...don't you just love his character design? It's the kind of thing I just love to stare at. He's so cute!...And he looks like my cat.
As for the other character designs, I gotta give DW credit for making them (mainly Alex, Gloria, Melmen and Marty) look like the actors who play them without being so obvious, like Shark Tale.

You had better hope that Jada Pinkett Smith never reads what you just wrote and then finds you walking alone near an alley at night.

One guy at the press conference asked Jada, "Who was it that had the unmitigated gall to ask you to voice an 800-pound hippo?"

Wait what? I didn't think the characters looked anything like their voiced counterparts except for Marty.

Is Marty Chris Rock?
I'd go with that... the others looked nothing like their star faces, which is a GOOD thing and a return to when characters were created and voices found to match them!
Ahh, the good old days...

Actually, if you look
very hard, there are a good few. It's suttle stuff, though. For example, Melmen and David S. have that same long...nose? And Melmen's darker colors around his mouth remind me of David's short beard. (Marty also has Rock's beard.) Most of them are just things like eyebrows, though.

Fish! Now I have to smash her computer.

Katzenberg actually does one of the Penguins, Rico. (He's uncredited)
He doesn't speak, but he does "react." He's the "silent" Penguin who doesn't talk. Kind of ironic.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!
