Following in the tradition of
The quote game,
The Song Game,
Ultimate Movie-Mashes!, and the
Titles game!, comes an all new game that was particially inspired by a few posts here on AN, but mainly from a parody from
The Amanda Show. Here's a little info on the show:
The skit was parody of Blockbuster, in which a family of foreigners owned and operated their own video store. The customers would always return unhappy, as they found out the movies they rented, were just homemade spoofs made by the immigrant family.
The game on the other hand, will have the person who's turn it is, spoofing the title left by the previous poster, than they leave a title of a game/movie/TV show/episode titles, whatever you desire, so as to not limit ourselves!
Here's an example;
Daniel:
Stuart Little
Josh: How about
Stuart Lipple! (Then they post there's...)
Titanic.
Get it? Now someone spoof
Titanic!

I can see this going very awry!
KEEP IT CLEAN, PEOPLE!
While I don't really get or see the point of this, me thinks it would be funnier to explain what the movie would be about.
For instance, if I rented Stuart Little but got Stuart Lipple, what's the difference? A silly title? Surely the actual movie would be different as well, making the mistake all the more clear.
So how about we have to say what the "alternate" movie would be about?
Stuart Lipple: the story of a tiny island that makes family in New York, perhaps?
Ti-tonic: a ship hits an iceberg but no one's that bothered because they're all drunk and go down singing slurpy songs.
I don't know...I just don't get making fun of a title...that's too easy!

Your right, I was trying to come up with something fun, never thought it would be
too easy. I do like your idea, though. Its actually closer to the parody, but better, since they didn't try to spoof the movie, they would just dress up as the characters, (cheaply) with no graphics, and spoke with accents. How I loved it!
One little complaint, you forgot to leave a title, Ben. Other than that, its your turn! Till than, anyone is welcome to practice with
Titanic, for fun.

Those are good, Vi! Perfect examples of what the goal of the game is.

How about this;
The Sisterhood of The Traveling Polka Dot Pants: Four on and off again girlfriends hatch a plan to stay connected with one another as their lives start off in different directions: they pass around a pair of tacky worn-out jeans that barely fit each of their bodies.
Good, no?
Here's the next title:
Jaws.

Flaws: A shark appears in the waters near a small coastal town. No one worries though, because it only attacks seaweed.

I don't know, maybe its because of the story angle?
Commandlo: A retired elite commando has only a few hours to find and rescue his dog from an exiled dictator.

I got this one!
It's
1.) Either a biopic about the actor who portrayed Dracula in the classic film (Max Shreck)
Nosferatu, or....
OR:
2.) A DTV sequel about the
Batman Returns villain (Max Shreck) who apparently wasn't electrocuted to death after all and gets into a face-off with Catwoman/Selena Kyle, who also survived.
