Which decade/animation era do you like best?
Starting from....Gertie the Dinosour!
(1909...I think. )
20's early (silent) b + w shorts? 30s b + w and color shorts? Golden Age Disney?
Post-War Disney? 50s/60s UPA? 40s/50s Warner Bros? Disney WWII shorts?
70s experimental Ralph Bakshi? 80s pre-Renaissance Disney? 80s miscellaneous? (Last Unicorn, Brave Little Toaster)
80s Renaissance Disney? 90s Renaissance Disney? 80s Don Bluth? 90s Don Bluth?
90s Pixar? 21st Century Pixar?
(I'm not sure how to set up a poll, so anyone can just say what they think! )

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Quoted for truth; though other studios have their own periods of amazingness.ShyViolet wrote:I also have many faves, but if I had to pick one it would probably Golden Age Disney (The "big four"--Snow White, Dumbo, Pinocchio, Fantasia.)
My preference goes to any period where they are still hand shading/coloring the backgrounds! (foregrounds are important too!)

80's and 90's Renaissance Disney Animation, simply because I grew up watching those movies so they naturally mean a lot to me.
When I think of animation, the first thing that flashes before my eyes is always something from Beauty and The Beast.
That doesn't mean they are my favourite animated movies of all time though,
but they are the ones closest to my heart.
