That's a good way of putting it, Ben!
Spears was okay in the role. She probably did as well as most celebrities do when they try voice acting.
With that said, if you ever want to check out the Robbie the Reindeer specials, I recommend viewing them with their original (UK) tracks. Interestingly, the current Robbie DVD offers both the US and UK versions, making it fun for one to compare the different tracks.

I know a lot of people don't like Britney, but I think there's more to her than meets the eye. She has recorded some great songs, and is a very good dancer too!
Maybe in this day and age of "famous for being famous" disposable celebrities, Britney might seem like "just another talentless blond who manipulates the media" like certain other people I can think of.....
But she isn't...at least not IMHO. If that were true, she never would have lasted this long!!
And I STILL love ....Baby One More Time!
*****************************************************
The only thing she did that I hated was when she messed up her own song "Drive Me Crazy" by remixing it and taking all the "fun" out of it...and you can't find the original version ANYWHERE.... Ugh! Britney, why??
Plus that "kiss" with Madonna at the MTV music video awards or whatever it was was definitely the end....she only did for attention and tabloid ratings....so stupid.
Liked this cameo however:

I know Britney's situation isn't exactly on a whole lot of people's minds here (not really on mine either) but I still feel for her and hope she is doing better.
She's "spoken" publicly on her site with a message for the first time in months:
http://britneyspears.com/
Of course who knows what's really going on, but it does seem like she's trying to change her life.

thanks violet. i enjoyed reading about britney's view of her situation... the media is usually just flooded with everyone elses opinions about it. also good to hear her thoughts on her sons and see that she doesnt just think she can constantly party like some of hollywoods young women... cough, cough, lindsay lohan.

http://www.entertainmentwise.com/news?id=32304The troubled singer Britney Spears had to be carried out of an LA hotel bar on Sunday night, after vomiting uncontrollably in the men's toilets. Just when you thought she was on the mend. Today's Sun reports that Britney was found "slumped over the toilet bowl with make-up smeared over her face and her wig hanging off" "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Things aren't going well for me at the moment" was what she said to hotel staff, before being led out of the hotel. Sobbing. And covered in sick. The source told the paper: "It was really sad. Everyone thinks she's getting back on track after her comeback shows but that's clearly not the case. I think she needs proper help"
gross ...

Latest is, Paris is going back to prison to serve the rest of her 45-day sentence.
Let's hope she doesn't get out AGAIN...

I'm sorry for her and all (I'm sure it's a nightmare being in that place) but SHE BROKE THE LAW. Multiple times. She put people in danger. True, not everyone serves all of their sentence, but MOST PEOPLE would get about 90 days for this....and maybe serve 40. (I'm guessing, approximately.)
And 99.9% of people have no choice about what kind of jail they serve in...and most people HAVE to go to jail when they're sentenced and that's it....it doesn't matter if they're "crying" or "can't eat."
She got 40 and will probably serve only 20....or less. I think it was stupid that they took her out and then put her back in, but she should have just kept quiet and done her time in the first place. Or at least listened to her lawyers....heck, she should have done A LOT of things.
I think what made the judge really crack down on her, however, was her ATTITUDE more than anything else. If you remember her statements, her being late to court, her not wanting to show up and just "do it by phone" , she never seemed contrite at all. Not even a little sorry. Anyone can see through her phony "apologies." (which she probably didn't even write.) It's all an act.
If she had actually shown some real regret/guilt about what happened. (and not just regret that she got caught) I think things would have turned out very differently.
