"In his remarks, John Lasseter pointed out that the company's name is a blending of 'Pixel' and 'Art,' establishing their desire to blend art and technology from the outset"

"The Pixar name might have evolved from 'Pixel Art'. Edwin stated that the name was first given to a specialized computer, then became a team name, and was eventually selected for the company's name."

Cars sunscreens?

Post by AlfredJ » June 21st, 2006, 5:08 pm

Saw a picture here:
http://animatie.blog.nl/winnen/2006/06/ ... ars_en_win

and wondered: is this pic a fake, or are there really such sunscreens for your car available? I would love it!

Well, I'm not able to translate any of that, but I could still see the word "photoshop". If you ask me, I'd say it's just a photo edit.

Now if they DID make sunscreens for cars, that would be one of the smartest moves for Cars merchandise. My mom was even discussing the idea with me. I know I'd be the first to buy one. :D

I've been told that such sunscreens ARE available at Target - haven't seen one for myself yet though.

I just did a search for them and actually found images! They do exist, but they are said to be very rare.

Yeah, but...Sullivan said it would! *whines* J/K :)

Oh really? Let's rewind the tape:

About whether films produced by Pixar Animation Studios would have a new logo now that they were owned by Disney, Meg had asked:
Will they have a new logo, or will they keep the castle/lamp thing?
I responded:
Buy a ticket to Cars and find out!

I think you have probably found out the answer to that question.

The only problem is the red kind of clashes with some colors...

But STILL!

Yep. If only they had Mater eyes...because my car is an ugly brown. Then it would be a little more interesting. *sighs*

Oh, O.K.

Anyway...in this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly, there's a very interesting article on "The Toy Story that never Was" with Circle 7 and all that. It has quotes from Andrew Stanton and other animation figures about how they felt about all that.

Very good read! :)

BTW, no kidding, do you know that one of the lines for TS 3 was going to be: "To infinity and b ee-otch!" ?

(sorry for the bad language, I just didn't know how many stars to put in for that.  )

This might have been mentioned on this site at one time, so I apologize.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!
