I know Barks is the king, natch, but I loves me some SuperGoof! We need a brand new animated superhero SuperGoof super-spoof…!

The final volume of Fantagraphics' collected Carl Barks' Donald Duck, Uncle $crooge and Walt Disney's Comics & Stories comics (announced at the beginning of this thread 14 years ago!) is scheduled for release in June.
.. and I agree that a similar hardcover collection of Super Goof comics would be pretty cool. I had several Dell/Gold Key reprints of it, way back when.

Finishing... with Volume 1! Is that it, then? No more volumes to add at the end? I guess we already got the Barks-written Junior Woodchuck stories, right?
I still have a few volumes to pick up (planning to get slipcases when I can, especially for the Scrooge volumes), but I have loved the presentation of these books. It's a perfect format. The essays are often plainly unnecessary, but a nice touch nonetheless. The stories, of course, are still wonderful.

Speaking of...!
Just saw this new listing:
Disney Masters Vol. 27 - Walt Disney's Goofy: Super Goof and the Strange Case of Dr. Syclocks - coming out this fall!!
"Silver Age fan-favorite artist Paul Murry brings us his full run of adventures from Super Goof plus select later issues, some never reprinted. "
How about that! Ask, and ye shall receive.
I've been collecting random issues of Super Goof for a while (including his intro in the Phantom Blot issue), but this should be a nice book to get.

Adaptations of Ducktales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp and Epic Mickey are also coming out from Fantagraphics, among other books.

Very nice!
I have three volumes of the Fantagraphics 'Disney Masters' hardcovers featuring Mickey Mouse comics by Paul Murry .. he was my second-favorite Mickey auteur (behind Floyd Gottfredson, of course!)
About 15 years ago, Electric Tiki released a 'mini-maquette' featuring Super Goof .. he's about 7 inches tall.
. .
It's long 'out-of-print,' though .. and quite pricey, on the secondary market .. if/when you can find one..!

Oh, I do like that a lot!!
I've been getting the Murry volumes, too. I've seen some criticism for him being the "bland" Mickey artist (was it Thad K, or someone like that?), but me and his stories go way back, and it's fun to see the collected stories in hardcover. (Also, see his comic strip collection, Buck O'Rue!)

I do have Classic Comics Press' book collection of Paul Murry's Buck O'Rue comic strips.
Also -- like Dan DeCarlo and Jack Cole (and his former Disney co-worker Freddy Moore) -- Murry was a decent 'good girl' artist, as well.

I figured you'd possibly have that CCP book, Droo. It's a good'un! Having grown up on Murry Mouse stories, it was cool to see his western strip.
I suppose you have Fantagraphics' DeCarlo book, too? I just finished reading it, and loved it to pieces.

I have the 2006 edition of Fantagraphics' Dan DeCarlo book Innocence & Seduction, by Bill Morrison.
The latest expanded edition -- with 40 additional pages of material! -- is on my wish list; I haven't gotten it yet.
edit: I've actually just this moment purchased a copy from Bud Plant. Apparently, they're almost out of stock, and after those are gone, the book will be listed as 'out of print'. A book published less than five months ago!!

I missed out on the first edition, so I was thrilled to get the new one. So worth it!

Re: Complete Carl Barks Disney Comics Collection Coming!
I guess it’s because these things are being printed in smaller and smaller print runs. A slight miracle that they feel there is a market at all for some of them, and true labours lot love for those that put them together. There are *so* many printed comics and strips books that I would love to collect, based on having and reading the stories when younger, but — as great as it is to hear about them and you guys speaking so excitedly over them — I just can’t start going down those roads as well, much as I would adore to…!
