And while I know there's that section of the animation community that insists we bow down and worship the effort it took to make stop-motion:
I'm not saying the first 1990 movie was classic, mind--and the first Michael Bay film wasn't quite as bad as we wanted it to be--but did we really want the Robot Chicken version?

Pizza Hut is the best!
Funny about that—in the 1990 version I’m pretty sure the Turtles ordered from Domino’s. Lol.
EDIT: Yeah, they did.

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

God bless Spider-Verse for showing that not every animated film had to look like a Pixar movie. (Though I also give Madagascar and The Peanuts Movie some credit)

Correction: not every *CG* film had to look like a Pixar movie. There were, and are, lots of other animated films out there that don’t look like Pixar or modern Disney movies.
Now the trend is to make everything look like stop-motion!
Or at least something a little more "hand-crafted", which is ionic given how much traditional animation was obliterated by CG. I still love the look of the tradigital movies, and it’s nice that a lot of these films now are basically going back to those kinds of aesthetics, albeit without real hand-drawn characters. I’m not sure the "stuttering" effect of having the characters move in a more obvious version of animating on twos always works, especially as the backgrounds remain fluid, but it’s a more interesting dynamic for sure.

April in the new spots looks to having a younger face than the early art and she talks younger. Bet she is a student not a teacher as many thought.
Also, film is getting great critic reviews and 97 rt score! Nephew wants to go so looks like we are going to see it. Heard it has a post scene also.

I never got too far into TMNT, having seen only a few shows and the first trilogy of films. But I really look forward to seeing this just for the animation style. Sony led the way with Spidey and Mitchells, and it's great that Nickelodeon/Paramount are embracihg the same creativity. It's past time that CGI animation embraced what the art form is capable of, instead of just churning out Pixar clones.

Well that was a nice take!
You’ve put my interest up a bit more in seeing this eventually, though that we have to endure more vomit gags kind of puts it back down to where it was.
I actually had quite a blast with the first Megan Fox movie, which was much better than it had any right to be, though the second felt more rote and less inspired.
