Original footage/recording of Tim Curry as the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series!
Creepy!

(Reminds me a bit of the Joker voice in the Legends of the Dark Knight episode, except much more disturbing.)

Not what I would have expected from Tim, but not *so* far off what Hamill eventually delivered either, albeit with a bit more nuance, which he was arguably able to hone and finesse as he grew into the role.

Re: YouTube Goodness
Definitely. Also, interestingly enough, Hamill was eventually told to go deeper, more gravelly and menacing in Return of the Joker…and he actually kinda sounds a bit like Tim there!

Re: YouTube Goodness
Although Star Trek V is basically considered the nadir of TOS movies, here’s a neat clip:

Re: YouTube Goodness
V has some of the most wince-inducing moments, but I may still like it better than IV -the favourite Trek film for people who don't really like Trek.

Re: YouTube Goodness
Oooh, controversial!
Yeah, I never really got the hoo-ha over IV either, as I’d already recognised long before that point that "come to present day Earth" in any sci-fi flick was code for "we need to cut the budget somewhere", so it felt a bit cheesy even back then. My favourite of the original movies are still II and III, and then maybe VI, although I also don’t love that quite as much as most other fans, as again the lower budgets of V and VI are quite visible in the smaller casts and set-bound "action". There are indeed not bad aspects of V at all, but it’s hamstrung by awful editing and visual effects. As a story, it’s actually classic Trek, which is why what works does work, but it got caught up in the silly boiling down of "Kirk meets God'", or "Star Trek goes looking for God", which isn’t the case, really, at all.
