Oh, bother.
Like how they brought back the hyphens from the A.A. Milne days. Fun detail.

I’m still hoping this is just the SNL skit it feels like…

I don’t take much comfort in the director currently working on like five other films right now…

Well, this was shot in 10 days so I don't see that being an issue.

Which ones? I only see "Dinosaur Prison" on IMDb.
And yeah, the poster has the distinct Asylum-esque smell of "You can't touch us, the source's PUBLIC DOMAIN!", every time they tried to do another knockoff of "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters".

None of which sound like real movies, but somehow are!

We haven't actually heard that much from THE Asylum lately, apart from a few generic original films, ever since they gave the Sharknado series its epic finale a few years ago--
What we have seen, though, is a sudden explosion of even cheaper backyard auteurs trying to do even bolder lawsuit-begging title-knockoffs, trying to take the throne. (Genuine Birdemic-esque poverty row, without the slick CGI polish of Asylum's Green-O-Vision.)
Sort of like a gang war, after the boss retires, and all the young kids in the organization start getting ambitious to see who's going to be the new 5-Headed Shark in the pond...

I'm kinda hoping Demonic Christmas Tree airs on Syfy. Totally sounds right up their alley. I enjoyed the one they made two years ago called Letters to Satan Claus. It was dumb, but a pretty funny send-up of Hallmark Christmas films.

Trailer: (Warning for mild graphicness)
Well, this looks delightfully shlocky. Those accents are awful. Really looks horrible, but I will still totally watch this.

Turns out it's a British company, that wants to be its own overseas UK branch of The Asylum.
Which, if you look at their other PD-dodge horror movies, not only explains the accents, but why they think the chaps at home will gasp if they corrupt devoted "childhood" PD sources like Winnie the Pooh, Humpty Dumpty and Jack & Jill...
...Heavens, will a Dick Whittington horror movie be next?
("OHH no, it won't!" "OHH yes, it will!")

The acting is atrocious too!
Might be a cool twist if it turns out these are just guys in costumes that killed the real Pooh and friends and just assumed their identities and started murdering. Probably not, though. Remove the gimmicky masks and it's your run-of-the-mill slasher.

Getting a one-day theatrical release. No surprise a sequel is already being planned.
