She is flying the ranger plane in one shot around when zipper lights dales rocket. (why is zipper lighting dales rocket anyway? Did dale ask him to or is zipper a bad guy?) You have to freeze the trailer to catch her.

A real blink and you'll miss it! Not that I put much stock into her being the villain in the first place.

We don't know if she is a good guy or bad. We don't see chip and dale in the rescue plane at that spot just gadget and zipper is lighting dales rocket. Is he doing what dale wants or attacking him?

Again, she is the most popular character.

It's really not going to happen.

And I don't think it would look good for Disney to make the sole female of the original crew the villain. I can just see the outrage on the socials already.

Good point. That’s like making a Smurfs movie where Smurfette becomes Gargamel’s evil spy again. (Not sure if this plot from the TV cartoon was carried over?)

Speaking of gadget looks like the disneyland toon town redue is changing gadgets coaster the last thing she had in any of the parks. Most think it will be rethemed to another ip. So bad week for gadget if the bad guy rumor is true.

More speculation than anything. Here's another: What if it's an obsessive fan? The trailer opens up in a room all decked out with merch, maybe that's their lair. Providing it's not just trailer material. Honestly, it could very well be just an old villain from the show. I think more is being looked into with that synopsis...

Basically the plot of Sony's "The Smurfs 2", but they seemed to forget 'Fette's origin in the "Smurfs & the Lost Village" movie.

And yes, Sony Animation would be the right ballpark for thinking about this movie, but have to go a little more over into the hipster Roger-worship of "Rocky & Bullwinkle". (CtToI, didn't we actually get one of Judge Doom's weasels in R&B?)

For those who think animated characters should always remain in character in the same situation, I want to point out that there would be no Rescue Rangers because the guys would be too busy driving Donald Duck crazy. (And Mickey would still be stuck on the steamboat.)

Rewatched the trailer again and I noticed something:

One of Chip's ears is replaced with Goofy's or Pluto's.

With that, my theory now is

Pluto is the big bad. Actually makes sense if you think about it. Their very first appearance was in a Pluto cartoon - "Private Pluto".

That would be a pretty cool twist!

Isn’t this the same trailer that came out a week or so, though? I think Dace posted it on the front page, though it was fun to see again: this still just looks so bizarre, bonkers and quite possibly brilliant.

Disney XD will air all 65 episodes of "Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers" in a two day marathon starting tomorrow! First time on the channel since 2008! So awesome. I'll be there.
