A fan rediscovered a reel of raw takes from Muppet Christmas Carol:



Pretty extraordinary. Seeing the planks that Michael Caine uses over the performers is so cool!

B-b-but why can we see all those people under the Muppets? It’s so weird, it’s like they’re holding them up or something! We need to see more of this: maybe the upcoming 4K version will be in Disney Imax and show all this stuff that was intended to be cropped out…

More serishly, it’s so nice to see "proper" Muppet BTS again. I used to love visiting the sets, where pretty much everything was built up on supports and the humans would have to tread carefully between the scaffold boards! It’s also cool to see how the excellent choreography here always manages to cover them up with Muppets entering and leaving frame at specific points…seamlessly done!

You kid, but a "When Illusion is Gone" edition would be pretty fascinating!

That reminds, the soundtrack recently received a new vinyl release. Completely remastered tracks. Gorgeous art.

Hmmm…that means they’ve gone back to the stems, which means they’re probably..working on an Atmos track for a remastered version (especially if When Love Is Gone is included). Great news!

Did you manage to get one? Looks sold out already. I’d have probably gone for the red version. More Christmassy.

The blue one is their exclusive. Distribution partners and retailers are suppose to have red and green vinyl variants. Haven't heard it being spotted in the wild yet. Hopefully you find one.
