Goblin? Really? I think one of the reasons I enjoy the TH Spiderman is the lack of Goblin, by the end of the TM era I was happy to never see or hear the word Goblin again. the AG movies had an Osborne character didn't they?

The Raimi movies had a better Norman Osborne (at least if the MCU is planning to bring Alternate Willem Dafoe back to start their "Dark Avengers" Phase IV idea), but Amazing 2 had a better comic-canon Goblin, who didn't wear armor or act like the Marvel Joker.

Although, of course, that one was thinking Future Crossover Universe with their villains too, trying to set up "Sinister Six".
What you probably meant was that you were sick of Sony beating the dead horse of Harry Osborne, and the Amazing movies did an even worse job of that.

We've had Kevin Feige saying "Fans shouldn't expect too much, and make up their own movies from wishful thinking and rumors, or they won't be able to appreciate the movie they get."

Um…no? It’s pretty clear. He’s tempering expectations so that fans still get the wowsers when everyone *does* turn up…

I think he’s letting the fan rumor-mill and trailer frame-by-frame analysts down easy for who’s NOT going to turn up. Just a blind guess, dare I say.
