"Why did you not fight thanos" "We only fight when it's deviants"
Thanos in the comics is a deviants.
Comic fans are making fun of this like crazy!

I don’t know if it carries the same meaning/intonation there, but saying someone is a deviant will crack UK audiences up here, just as much as the word bender kept getting bandied about in The Last Airbender…
And, just to get the ball rolling…I know plenty of deviants, by the way…

And the spider-man nwh trailer has leaked. Marvel and sony are going to be ticked!
No i won't link it here. It is all over youtube now however.
With unfinished cg in the trailer bet this never was going to get released to the public and was just for cinemacon like the comic con only trailers.
Edit-they found the leaker. It was a fx guy. Well he will never work there again!

Old movie rule, dating back to the early 80's: BEWARE any non-Yuletide movie whose main thrust of their advertising campaign is that they're opening at Christmas.
(Usually, it was a signal that the movie was being studio-dumped at Christmas, and they didn't have anything else good to say about it.)

Re: Avengers and the MCU
They've sold me. Honestly in the movies, I didn't really care about Hawkeye as an individual character but, like Black Widow, I felt he deserved a solo movie as an original Avenger. So I was happy that he was given a series. I honestly thought this would just be a punch punch shoot arrow type of movie. So the marketers, to push the comedy angle, has increased my interest from 'I'll watch cause it's in the MCU' to 'I am eagerly looking forward to Nov 24'. Plus as an added bonus, it's introducing another Young Avengers character.
Also is it wrong that I am also super keen to see what they do with Rogers: The Musical? I hope we get to hear a decent amount of the number shown in the trailer.

Re: Avengers and the MCU
It really isn't the advertising campaign "thrusting" about the Christmas opening here though. The show is actually set during Christmas and that seems to be a plot point.EricJ wrote: ↑September 13th, 2021, 3:33 pm

Re: Avengers and the MCU
I wonder if that's actually SATIRIZING one of Stan Lee's crazy memos from the old 90's New World days--
Lee actually wanted a Captain America musical on Broadway, where Rogers had been retired since the war, not frozen in ice. I'm guessing he was thinking in terms of the old Superman musical, and wanted another "We Need Him" number.
(I actually saw the Man try and stump for all his new memo ideas at a comic-con, and got him to autograph my Pryde of the X-Men VHS.
Most of his ideas...didn't go over with the crowd.)
Sacrilege. Bring back the "Star Spangled Man With a Plan" guy.
