Tiny Toons Looniversity
First Animaniacs and now Tiny Toons are getting the reboot treatment. Best of all, it will also be airing on Cartoon Network! Sweet!
Always been a fan of the show. "How I Spent My Vacation" is just brilliant!

Guess this must mean everyone is quite happy with how the new Animaniacs has turned out.

No Elmyra it seems:
That's kind of a shame.Cree Summer wrote:I just got the word that ELMYRA will NOT be included in the Tiny Toons reboot

Elmyra was 'annoying' at times .. but she was also undeniably a huge part of the 90s show.
I hope Shirley McLoon will be retained; she was my favorite .. loved her 'Val Gal' accent.
I'd also like to see Mary Melody given a larger role .. and perhaps another 'Julie Bruin' cameo, too..!

Little bit of irony now.

Charlie Adler was not invited to reprise Buster:
Pity. Yes, he had a falling out with the show originally, still a shame since Animaniacs went the extra mile to get the original voice actors back. Plucky and Hampton's original voice actors have sadly passed, (Joe Alaskey and Don Messick respectively) so even more disappointing they didn't get back who they could.Charlie Adler wrote:I have not been invited to participate so I don’t have any idea about the production but I wish it great success !

Re: Tiny Toons Looniversity
While the animation itself looks fine, it suffers from a complete lack of any form of shading. Granted, this is a leak and not intended for release, so maybe it looks different in the final show (assuming it doesn't get cancelled, which with HBO Max is an all too real possibility these days), but it makes it look...cheaper?
I mean, this looks so much better, and it's from more than 30 years ago...
That said, I'm not sure who the audience is going to be for something like this. The Animaniacs reboot was basically for adults while keeping itself kid-friendly. I'm not sure if you can do that sort of thing with Tiny Toons.

It doesn’t look as bad as it initially did, but I’ll leave my Tiny Toons memories as they were, thanks.
