Gee, do you think anyone will tell Matt that Michael Eisner doesn't run the company anymore?

Not mine, just those of (ahem) smug narcissistic pop-gadflies who haven't updated their jokes since the 90's.

(Now, Paul Pressler, OTOH, I've been trying to push those eviction papers through for twenty years. )

I don't understand why Eisner was brought up at all.

Because he lives rent-free in a lot of OLD people's heads, who make the same jokes about hating Chapek-era Disney/Fox/Marvel/Lucas/Henson that they made back when it was cooler to hate Disney from '95-'05.

Oo, wasn't that all naughty and iconoclastic back then?...They were, y'know, a whole big corporation, 'n everything, and all those loving Lion King fans might wag their finger at you! The big bad corporation might, gasp, sue you, like they did with that day-care center!
Only now the Simpsons update their jokes to new "timeliness" by dressing Bart and Lisa up as the Mandalorian and Wanda, since, y'know, Disney's being a whole Evil Octopus about that.

(Um, how about I clear up any confusion in the next six posts, and just SAY it was a joke about Groening/current-Simpsons' would-be "irreverent" tropes now being boring cliche's at this point, and that his/their egos still think they're being "shocking" by attacking diseased, geriatric sacred-cows that the rest of the outside world has pretty much dealt with and moved on by this point?...

Interesting how it was "supposedly" cool to hate Disney as soon as Frank Wells passed. Never mind that Simpsons have been poking fun at Disney since almost the beginning. I think this is worse than the Poochie theory...
