Well, at least you got it and didn’t have to suffer the ignominy of *not* getting the job you’ve obviously capably been doing for three years! Good job! Or, er, perhaps more appropriately, well done!

A "toons who are in rescue rangers" folder has been added. Also the rescue rangers show is in the top trending.

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
Once Upon A Time In America…ooh, I wonder which version, and if this means Marty has got closer to his restoration of the closest to the full thing as possible version he has been working on!?
Also, funny how some other notable 90s Warners movies now seem controlled by Disney, thanks to their distribution deal with Regency through 20th Century. LA Confidential? JFK? Pretty big catalog titles popping up in places other than HBOM!

Ooh…! Was never the biggest Willow fan, but this looks pretty faithful, and nice to see several callbacks in music and cast.

I loved Willow when I saw it in the theatre back in the day. Of course, I was young. It doesn't quite hold up now, but I'm still curious about the new show.

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
I remember Chris Claremont co-writing a couple of Willow fan-fiction novels in the early 90's, but before Disney got Lucasfilm, that was as far as the "Justice for Willow!" movement ever got...
Scorsese film-restoring Leone? Hadn't heard about that...Details?

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
I only know it was, or has been happening over time.
Ooh, look, there: I literally just typed in your "Scorsese film-restoring Leone" into Google and apparently it’s been done since 2012…!?
Oh, no…wait. That’s not right. The Independent has the best description there, but then that's 2012, and this was released on DVD and Blu-ray after that.
But…I know I have seen more recently that Scorsese has talked about the additional-additional "lost" footage being located, and working on an as-close-to-the-original version. Here's what's been put together so far…
— Leone's fabled six hour-plus workprint cut. The producer had agreed for one three hour movie, but Leone turned in his magnum opus and had been promised final cut. This was debated to be released as two movies, before a compromised four hour version was agreed upon. The six hour is presumed lost and was never screened.
— The "compromise" was the 269 minute Cannes cut, which played at the festival in 1984 to rave reviewers and a standing ovation in 1984. For some reason, this version wasn’t released either as one or two movies, and was truncated down to…
— The disastrous American theatrical cut, which was taken out of Leone's hands by a different distributor who wanted it under two hours. Apparently many attempts were made to make it as short as possible, and it arrived finally at 139 minutes…and flopped heavily.
— Redemption somewhat came with the 229 minute European cut, which is the version that was most widely available and how many of us know the film originally. This is still apparently now the "television" version of OUATIA that remains the "default" studio cut.
— What is now called the Extended Director's Cut is the one restored by Scorsese’s Film Foundation in 2012 and released to disc. This puts back 22 minutes of the cut 40, for a 251 minute version that restores various scenes and whole roles that were cut previously.
It was while I researching which version was on Blu-ray, and finding that it’s apparently out of print, that I stumbled on the news that Scorsese was excited to have found the missing 19 minutes and wanted to complete the film to Leone's original 269 Cannes cut length. This was definitely within the last year that I read this, as I did think then that hopefully it would be completed for the 40th anniversary in 2024, when hopefully a nice new 4K edition will be made available.
I would imagine that the Disney+ (haha, it tickles me that OUATIA is now a D+ movie!) version is either the usual European cut, or the Extended version, since I’d have expected to hear much more fanfare if Scorsese had finished a true restoration of the original full Cannes cut. I guess work is slow as the film's rights are split between the US and international (apparently the reason the last 19 minutes have been so tricky to put back), so neither side will want to pony up the costs for completion (and then who gets the rights?).
The wait continues…but hopefully Marty will be successful in the next couple of years…

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+
Lesson 1: She DOESN'T HAVE freakin' "energy fists"!
Specifically, the Kevin Kline/Michelle Pfeiffer/Stanley Tucci one, which could give James Cagney and Mickey Rooney a run for its money.:
A Midsummer Night's Dream (1999)
...THIS is why we (in the US) can't have nice Disney/Fox theatrical-catalog channels.
