I'm a huge fan of The Office. :D I don't know if I've ever laughed out loud as much during a sitcom as I have with it.

So what do you think about The Offices' current season? I agree with the majority of folks that those hour-long episodes at the beginning were a little off, although I still enjoyed them. They weren't bad; they just had a little too much filler.

With that said, the past few half-hour episodes have been, in my opinion, some of the best episodes since the series' second season.

But I really, really hope NBC rethinks their Office II idea. As much as I love Office, I'm afraid that spin-off might just be too much of a good thing. Here's hoping that the new series doesn't pull writers, producers and directors from the first U.S. Office series. Otherwise, I'm afraid both shows could be in trouble.

The Office was talked about some here, although I don't think we've had a thread specifically dedicated to the show. I could be wrong though.

That's why Josh said "The Office was talked about some here". I know your doing this on purpose, Remy.

And just in case you didn't see this (me thinks you did):

Learn from my experience. Remy is stubborn.

Impressed by the popularity of The Office, NBC is developing a spin-off to it, according to TV Guide. At this time, producers are apparently casting a "name" to headline the new series.

I just hope that this new show does its own thing without interrupting the creativity and popularly of its predecessor. Personally, I would like to see NBC let The Office air a few more seasons by itself before ending. Afterward, if the network still really, really wants a spin-off, they might want to consider the idea that several fans have pitched: Shrute Farms, in which we see Dwight Shrute and his cousin Mose run the beet farm seen in the recent Office episode "Money."

By the way, rumor has it that in case the writers' strike continues much longer, NBC is considering airing the original, British version of The Office.
