Dinosours/Family Guy similarities
Does anyone remember that show from the early '90's?
Dinosours--Jim Henson's creations, like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
I think it was a Disney show. (and on ABC, but before Disney bought ABC.)
I was just thinking, that show is like, REALLY similar to Family Guy in some ways. Small, obnoxious baby, teenage boy, teenage girl, Fred Flinstone dad, sassy mom.

Yeah, yeah, I remember that show! Dinosaurs was very funny actually. I see the similarities, somewhat. But it was still very different from Family Guy. Father wasn't really obnoxious or rude like Peter Griffin. And the baby is nothing like the maniacal Stewie. I think the show had more in common with the Flinstones than Family Guy.ShyViolet wrote:Does anyone remember that show from the early '90's?

Do. Or do not. There is no try.

I concur as well! I've been planning on getting the Dinosaurs series DVD for awhile. I should get it soon.RandCanuck wrote:Agreed!! The characters, the satire, the wacky plots.... all terrific. It's surprising that there has not been more discussion clamoring for a DVD release. I'm glad I have all the tapes Disney put out.Macaluso wrote:Dinosaurs was SO awesome.
"Not-a-momma" then the baby hits earl on the head with a frying pan..hilarious stuff!

No prob Dan!!
My favorite part:
It so reminds me of "Duloc" in Shrek:

My favorite part:
"Yes, we're still building the dream. For as long as dinosaurs have imagination and children have discretionary income, Wesaysoland will never be truly finished. Welcome to Wesaysoland. Where everyone has a good time because We Say So. "

It so reminds me of "Duloc" in Shrek:
"Don't make waves,
stay in line,
And we'll get
along fine--
Duloc is a perfect town,
Please keep off, off the grass--
shine your shoes, wipe your--
face,
Duloc is, Duloc is, Duloc is a per-fect place!!!
