Shrek the Third's plot

Post by ShyViolet » March 26th, 2006, 9:46 pm

From the DreamWorks fansite:
'Shrek 3' Title & Plot
21/03/06, 11:28pm EST

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DreamWorks Animation has given the third "Shrek" installment a title - Shrek the Third. The anticipated animated-comedy hits theaters on May 18, 2007.

Shrek the Third finds Shrek and Fiona reluctantly reigning over Far, Far Away. But if they can find the heir to the throne and bring him back, they can return to their swamp. While Shrek, Donkey and Puss in Boots are in search of the heir, Fiona holds off a coup d'etat by Prince Charming.

The film is voiced by Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas and Justin Timberlake.

I like that Fiona will have more to do in this one.

Even if it is called "Shrek the Third", everyone will be calling it "Shrek 3" anyway.

-"Hey, Todd! I just saw Shrek the Third."
"Really? How was Shrek the Third?"
-"Shrek the Third was pretty good."
"I should see Shrek the Third sometime."

I know I'LL be calling it Shrek 3. I think the title is really cute though.

And what was that about Justin Timberlake doing a voice?

Ok...I checked out IMDb.com. It says that Justin is voicing Artie (young King Arthur).

I smell a Shrek 3 flashback. *sniffs* Eww. LOL

Was it Jim Hill who said that? I thought it was someone else...

Wait, I think I posted that here didn't I?

I can see how people would get confused, since the writer's style kind of resembles Jim's.

EDIT: Darnit....the link is dead now.... Well, basically it said that Justin just wasn't an "actor" and the only reason he is playing Artie is because Cameron suggested him, and the filmmakers didn't want to risk losing her by saying no.

Although personally I think it might have just been a rumor...I don't think they'd keep him on if he was really doing a "bad" job.

They are probably calling it "Shrek the Third" because they don'ts want people confusing it with the disaster that is "Shrek 3-D".
