welll they are wrong aboutthe ultimate 3d announcement...

the new 3d technology by james cameron has already been put in effect by U2-3D & the upcoming brendan fraser starrer journey to the center of the earth 3D...so monsters v/s aliens could be the 1st animated movie to be in new 3D but definatly not the very 1st....

I don’t think the "Ultimate 3-D" moniker was meant to mean it was the best or anything like that, it was just an attempt to come up with a name to differentiate it from CGI, old-3-d movies (glasses) and the newer version of 3-D (glasses).

I won't proclaim to know whether this is true or not but maybe the reason they say first is because of the following...

The film is something of a landmark, being the first animated feature film shot in 3D. A number of computer-animated features (think Beowulf, Monster House and Meet the Robinsons) have been produced normally and subsequently dimensionalised for 3D distribution, though none before Monsters vs. Aliens has been produced in 3D from the outset.

Nope, you're in the clear!

Yeah, I love image too. But am I the one thinks the girl looks a tad bit like that girl (name escapes me) from the Incredibles? ;)

Mirage? Yep, I can see that.

But she's got more of Reese Witherspoon in her too, which is cool.

Looks fun! :)

I LOVE the concept of this, but doesn't "Bob" look an awful lot like a character from "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends"?

The website's already active:

I like it so far. They've got the B-movie thing nailed with the intro.

I was wondering when they'd get around to ripping off the pop-cool "Incredibles"...
Seemed odd that Jeff would let a Pixar movie slip, like that, without covering the board. ;)

I honestly don't see The Incredibles influence many folks seem to be on about.

The character design of the girl..? Maybe, somewhat .. but I see no more/less of a resembance than was seen in, say, Meet The Robinsons:

The rest of what I've seen (thus far) doesn't really remind me of The Incredibles in any way.

But it does seem to be doing a great job of 'sending up' 1950's monster/UFO-invasion movies. I'm really looking forward to it! :)

Here is a picture of a t-shirt from the movie. Can the image be of one of the aliens from the movie?

Curious minds want to know.
