The Simpsons Movie is an upcoming animated film based on the long running prime time animated sitcom The Simpsons. It is being produced by Gracie Films for 20th Century Fox with animation produced by Film Roman and Rough Draft Studios and is scheduled to be released "worldwide" on July 27, 2007. James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, Al Jean, Mike Scully, and Richard Sakai are the producers and it is written by eleven of the television series' most prolific writers.
Plot wrote:There will be new characters introduced in the movie. It has been stated that Albert Brooks is scheduled to provide a guest voice for an all-new character in the movie, and may reprise some of his past characters (Brad Goodman, Jacques, Hank Scorpio, Cowboy Bob and Tab Spangler). Also, Minnie Driver and activist Erin Brockovich are confirmed to have parts.
Having Brockovich play a part in the film could mean that the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, with its appalling safety record, will play a strong part in the plot.
Can't believe I didn't start this sooner!

Oh, that donut is making me hungry...
But great poster Dan! And good that we finally have a thread for this.
I can't wait for it. Also, glad that they brought back the really good writers. (Hopefully John Schwartzwelder and my favorite, David S, or X.
Cohen!!!
)

Yup, it is a cool poster. And yes, now we finally have a thread, Vi!
How about those teasers? Man, they have been sooooo, non-spoilerish? Which is both good, and bad. More good though, 'cause I don't want to be spoiled.

They're teasers so far...we'll get a big push with a true story trailer on a big Fox film come Easter time.

Looking foward to this as well...The recent episodes have been terrible, but I'm hoping this will make up for them!

Most of the material curculating around, is either A) abonbanded concepts or B) fake
Believe me, there's a TON of fake stuff going around.

Terrible? I beg to differ.
Some of the recent episodes I've enjoyed have been the annual THOH. One where Bart and Nelson become best friends. And another featuring Fat Tony's son, which IMO was one of the
best this season!

Those were the only two episodes I've actually liked this season...

Talk about irony, huh?
Hey, did you catch the last new episode? It was about Gil being fired, and staying with the Simpsons. Hehe, that was a great episode! It was a nice change of pace, to finally have an episode centured around Gil.

Wow, these sound very cool!
I've got to start watching The Simpsons (new episodes) again. I've been watching A LOT of my Simpsons DVDs from Seasons 5-8, often considered the best.
But as a hard-core fan and an interested viewer, I'll try to catch the new ones. They're every Sunday at 8 right...?

Your gonna catch the new stuff? Finally, Vi!
And that is correct, every Sunday at 8:00.

Yeah, I did...I wasn't really impressed by it, though. The ending was so confusing!
