Yes!! Our minivan is red! *glee*

Now I definitely need to hunt for one of these. I was talking about how great these would be with my family, too. :D

BTW, no kidding, do you know that one of the lines for TS 3 was going to be: "To infinity and b ee-otch!" ?
Good lord. That makes me want to hurt something.

Thank goodness it was scrapped...

I just want to say that I got the Cars soundtrack and I love it! :)
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

You get a free poster with it! (folded inside)

I put it on my wall. (Hey, it looks cool. )

I have a bunch of Cars stuff tacked on my wall, so a free poster would be awesome! Guess I won't just buy it on Itunes after all.

Wow! I've seen Cars today ! :) As many have said the begining of the movie was somehow odd - I was worrying for about 20 minutes that it really is not as good as I expected - but afer that I realized that I shouldn't be worry :) Beggining had something in common with Shark Tale style (which I didn't like), but then old good Pixar came back :) And now I would even suspect that it was intentional manipulation to make a contrast between this new, action and pop refs packed type of movie (rather flat and not engaging) and that warm and cheerful storytelling (more emotion and engagement). This is what the movie is all about so it's reflected even in the change in storytelling as much as in main character evolution. Another strange thing is that intensity of action in that movie is nearly inversely proportional to the intensity of emotions :) I really enjoyed that slowdown in the middle of the movie that allowed me to contemplate every litttle bit of surrounding world - it reflected the pace of that simple life in small forgotten town away from rush and noise of big cities. Maybe I'm emotionally unbalanced or maybe just don't have time and occasions for that kind of emotions but I have to confess that my eyes gone wet somewhere in the middle of the movie and hadn't time to dry because of diversity of impulses for cheerful laughts and touching moments. Story is quite simple but I don't mind - good old pixar formula is still there and works great for me - I have to see it again soon :)

PS. Scenery was sooo MAGNIFICENT! :D

If IMDb.com is right about this, and this could be true, then Joe Ranft has voiced 2 characters in Cars.

We all know he is Red, but according to IMDb.com, he is also the voice of Peterbuilt, the semi-truck Lightning mistook for Mack when he was lost.

Has anyone seen this elsewhere, even in the movie credits maybe?

That is such an obvious merchandising angle it has to be real. The only surprise is how rare these things seem to be!

I looked up everyone who voiced a minor character in the film, and most of them are Pixar crew members. Go figure. :)

Yeah, wasn't Boo's voice from a little kid of one of the animators?

You've got it! ;)

She's Mary Gibbs, daughter of Rob Gibbs. He was a story artist for Toy Story 2 and Monsters, Inc.

And did you know that Boo's real name IS Mary? I didn't until now. LOL
