Re: Man of Steel (2013)
Good job I won't be buying the 3D edition - that cover is u-g-l-y! Mind you, I don't think the regular combo pack is rocking that concept as well as it could either...

Re: Man of Steel (2013)
They really never got a great poster for this movie...a shame since all the trailers and other promotional material wound up being better than the film itself!

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Not too keen on the idea, but... Batman is more about the costume, so it doesn't matter much to me. It bugs me a bit, though, because it seems like such a safe, attention-grabbing choice. No imagination.

IMO, worst choice since George Cloony! Did they even see Daredevil?

I like Affleck enough, and he's a great director, but I'd really have to see some footage of him as Batman before I formulate a full fledged opinion. This is one of those choices that could really go either way very easily,

Did YOU see Daredevil? He was actually pretty good.ShyViolet wrote:IMO, worst choice since George Cloony! Did they even see Daredevil?
(Although we don't remember it that way, of course, because we were too busy throwing tantrums at all his celebrity news antics, taking them out on his movies, and wishing we could set fire to them all, just to show him. And Daredevil had the unfortunate victim-of-circumstance luck to come out before Gigli could let us get it all out of our system.)
Although the Extended Edition had a better plot, despite having more nutty-hammy Colin Farrell in it.
Now, Warner originally wanting to cast Affleck as director, because "Hey, Argo had action, maybe this one will be famous too!", that's a better example of clueless studio insanity.

Affleck was strongly rumoured to have been offered the job as Justice League director. One could certainly see his role as Batman segueing into that.

Re: Man of Steel (2013)
I did see Daredevil actually, when it first came out. I liked him as Matt Murdoch but that was about it.
Just my opinion though. I just can't see him as Batman...he's just too recognizable and too beefy. Like Tim Burton said Bruce Wayne should be someone you wouldn't think could be Batman. That's one reason why, even though I likked Bale, I think Keaton is the best Bats.

Well, then, Affleck gets the benefit of doubt...at least for now. And, after all, he already played Superman...

Interesting that he's signed for maybe 6 films! Slounds like Luthor could gets lots of DC film exposure.
And Matt Damon in Justice League?! (Actually, him as Aquaman works for me.) Yep, Affleck's directing that one, I'll bet.

Yeah, I wasn't too keen on Affleck playing Batman - he's a much better director than actor, in my opinion - but that video has helped me warm up to the idea.
If Affleck directs Justice League, we should go ahead and place bets on whom Casey Affleck is playing. (My guesses? Either Aquaman or Green Lantern.)Randall wrote:And Matt Damon in Justice League?! (Actually, him as Aquaman works for me.) Yep, Affleck's directing that one, I'll bet.
