
I agree about Rumple being a great villain. I loved the character, and thought that the voice did a wonderful job. After seeing the movie, it was hard for me to imagine anyone else voicing him.
I also agree that the third film was definately lacking a strong bad guy. The writers mistook Charming for a villain when he was really just a vain, spoiled child in an adult's body. Granted, I woudln't have minded seeing him as the main heavy if it had been done right...but it wasn't, really.
I did kinda like the Shrek and Fiona stuff. I appreciated how the script allowed for her to be feeling real pain about what happened to her in the tower, and allowed for her to express it. I also thought that fat Puss in Boots was hilarious.
I just wish that the climax had been "bigger." There was so much buildup to the battle at the end that I found myself thinking, "That's all?" It was a bit of a dissapointment.
Still, as everyone's said, it was a lot better than the third film...and that definately counts for something.
