The Princess And The Frog will get attention like TinkerBell unlike Enchanted and Bolt so I think it will be very sucessful.
Also anyone is seeing this in theater? I"m getting the DVD in any case,I think I will see it,and it's coming a day after my birthday (It might actually be released over here on my birthday).

Very good article at Jim Hill. Of interest, he talks about Disney's marketing tactics and how that will change for Princess - thank goodness and how TPaTF might move up its release date to November! Of course I would love for it to stay where it is at currently, but too much competition. I would be fine with a November street date, reminiscent of years past. Hopefully it does happen.

It wasn't until I read that Jim Hill argument that I realised how much the print advertisements have focused on the supporting cast for the recent films. It is quite wierd to do that. Although I think Jim is stretching it a bit with the teaser trailer for this film. In my opinion trailer isn't about the the firefly doesn't I think they spend a decent time on Tiana AND the frog. I still believe that Disney dropped the ball by not providing footage of this movie for the Oscars credits.
I personally don't care where it opens in the US. Cause I know that Australia will get it sometime in January regardless of it's US premiere. I think the main issue is that Disney was silly for picking up A Christmas Carol and wanting it out this year as well as The Princess And The Frog. Does make the schedule busy for Disney. I think late November would be ba decent time, hopefully give it some word of mouth for the lucrative Christmas box office.

They should keep it December.
Agree with Bill1978 about the teaser,it's about Tiana and Naveen, not him,Ray was just in the end,Jim Hill isn't right all,the movie is Tiana and even Naveen too,it's not like how they focused about Sebastian (Not saying that they didn't focused about Ariel) or Genie in who's so overrated,he whould have been nice if he wasn't so overrated and people tread him like he's the movie.

Phew...someone's talking sense. Perfectly good reasons for Disney to move the release back and not harm their box-office or credentials.
C'mon...we all complained when it wasn't a November release...and now that they're thinking of that to maximise the potential for the film you're all complaining again.
If you want to wait until December 25 to go and see The Princess And The Frog, then it will still be playing in theaters then!
Personally, I'm please that this is on the cards...Fox deliberately put their Chipmunks thing there as an unfair market test but Disney could end up coming out on top anyway.
That...and the fact that we won't then get the situation where they start to backlog a few titles, like we had in the UK a few weeks back when they had no choice but to open Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Bolt against each other!
