Saw this at lunch today and was blown away. As someone who thought the original wasn't as great as people made out (good, but not anything special) my high hopes for the sequel were based purely on the spectacular trailer. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint. Amazing set pieces, some truly phenomenal cg work, and a great cliffhanger ending. I plan on doing a full review soon, but for now I'll just say very good indeed.
Oh and the new Disney logo was unveiled with it. Put it this way, I couldn't breathe for 10 minutes afterwards. It really is THAT good.
Smiles all round then.

Well I live in UK so we're obviously a few hours ahead of the US. Maybe that would explain it? Plus I was off work today so I made sure I ws in on the first showing.

You're tempting me to go to a midnight showing. Supposed to actually be at Disneyland tomorrow so may do the ride and the movie in the same day. But the new storyline for the ride actually takes place before the storylines of the movies.

So the new logo is for real then?

WOW! It truly is an amazing film! I loved every second of it! And the cliffhanger they leave you with! WOW! I am really really really needing to see POTC3 now. Oh and apparently there is something at the end of the credits.
And the new Disney logo was really quite something. I loved it!

Yeah there's a little something after the credits, nothing special just a little joke. Still, if you've paid your entrance fee you may as well stick around for it.

Aww crud, I was kinda pushed out the door before the credits ended. Any chance you could let me in on the joke (either by post or PM). It could be a couple of weeks before I get to see it again.

Fantastic movie.
I'd rather the logo go back to normal. Not that it looks bad, but there's really no need for it to be that... flashy.

yeah that shot causes all kinds of hormone explosions among the teenage female demographic...
even if the movie dissapoints, expect teenage girls to see it over and over and over a la Titanic.
