Perhaps, Foxtale is referring to the trailer for Despicable Me (which isn't from DreamWorks, but does also base its premise around a 'super-villain') ..

My bad, I saw the trailer for Despicable Me. I guess that is why I was confused by the title. From the little I've heard of the movies I just thought they were similar and got them confused. >.< Sorry guys, thanks for clearing that up Droosan.droosan wrote:Perhaps, Foxtale is referring to the trailer for Despicable Me (which isn't from DreamWorks, but does also base its premise around a 'super-villain') ..
Either way, I feel I can't make judgments about it until we hear more. I loved Kung Fu Panda and other Dreamworks pieces a lot, so time will tell.

I would just like to say that every animated film is an honor to be put into any DVD collection...including mine. All the time and effort put into those films is no joke. Now if anyone thinks South park is something to be put into a collection, to me, that's not even worthy. I could go on and I apologise for this rambling, but lets not be so biased.
Speaking of the movie, I am excited to see it..Dreamworks or not.

Downey did a guest spot on Family Guy, but that's it, animation-wise.
However, Downey dropped out and now Will Ferrell will be playing the title character in his place, which is disappointing to me seeing as Downey is one of my favourite actors and I was looking forward to seeing him doing a major role in an animated film. I don't watch an animated film because they cast a big star, but this is Robert Downey Jr, who I will watch in anything.
It also would be have been an interesting twist, since he's now attached to the Iron Man franchise.

I have to agree it is kind of sad that Downey dropped out of this project.

...and also the Sherlock Holmes franchise, which looks set to continue.
I wrote about both OoberMind and Despicable Me's lack of originality here:

After the reading the 10 minute review that was posted the other day. I have to say that it doesn't sound at all like "The Incredibles".Ben wrote:...and also the Sherlock Holmes franchise, which looks set to continue.
