[quote="Mitch"]Wendy's Jane - It was probably half as much as Shrek cost; maybe less. [\quote]

Probably MUCH less.

"Shrek" cost a reported $120M to make.

Shrek was that much? Gee whiz. So I'd surmise that Happily N'Ever After probably cost $100-$200 thousand at the most? Maybe not even. :P

Shrek was made over a five-year period. They started in 1996, had Chris Farley and Janeane Garafolo in the begining, etc...Then after they recorded Mike Meyers doing Shrek in Canadian-type accent, Mike realised Shrek wasn't endearing enough and wanted to switch to Scottish. which cost a pretty penny too, changing the animation to go along with it.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

They seriously named the guy Prince Humperdink?

Shouldn't William Goldman be upset, or am I just confused?

James - Ahh -- as I expected! The film bombed and I am not surprised one bit. Cool review, by the way.

But, you have to admit that Mambo is pretty adorable. Or maybe it's just me...? (snigger)

Danny - Aw man. :P (snigger)

Well, I'm definitely not going to see this now, no matter how much I like that cat. Story is always the key -- that is why I go see good movies, not low-down ones like this. ;)

Danny - (snigger) "Young grasshopper". Heheh. :D

Wendy's Jane - Do not question the young grasshopper, especially when "he" is a "she". ;)

Heheh -- it's perfectly alright. Alot of people think that I am a boy. I'm actually a 100%, certified tomboy. As for me still wearing the avatar, well....just because the movie stunk doesn't mean that I still don't think Mambo is adorable -- heheh. :D

Oh, oh, oh. Don't worry, Mitch, I can so relate to you here.

I'm a boy, so the world knows. ;)

You're a guy?! Woah -- I'm so sorry. I though that.... Ahh -- well, you understand. ;)

(snigger)

I wonder if anyone will even have the courage to buy Happily N'Ever After when it comes out on dvd? (If it ever comes out on dvd....) I might rent it just for the computer effects.....and Mambo, of course. Heheh.

Um, when do movies NOT come to DVD? Especially the animated ones?

In fact, DVD will probably be where HNE makes its real money.
