From The Digital Bits:
I think it's well deserved. Disney did an outstanding job on the transfer.
Huzzah! Finally, the DEG announced the winners of its annual Creative Excellence Awards at the event...The complete list of winners is as follows:

This is getting the home treatment again as part of the "Walt Disney Signature Collection". Release date is September 24th. Same month as Aladdin and same day as Dalmatians! Oy.
Here's the cover:
Now that is atrocious! Ick.

Huh, yet another commentary it seems. They could've easily recycled but okay. Definitely not double-dipping. I already did when it first went Blu and that was enough. In that case it was totally worth it. The freebies and coupons helped too. I really don't see the merit this go around...Digital Exclusive - Stories From Walt’s Office: Designing the Studio

I’ll nab this if only to keep a complete Signature Collection going. It’s clear Disney is rushing out discs because they know people won’t keep buying them once they have access to all this stuff via D+.

Trailer. Target Exclusive:
With the exception of the Aurora pose, pretty cool cover. The book looks beautiful!

Re: Sleeping Beauty: Platinum Edition
I may now have to actually rebuy this, since I still have that first nervous "Can we REALLY do 2D animation on Blu-ray? " '08 disk from when Disney first got into the business. (And had to include the DVD, since they knew most of the audience wouldn't buy a player for three years.)
Now it's one of my few Platinum titles that doesn't have a Target-exclusive book cover--Wait, did they do one for Snow White?

Yep! Here's some pics. One issue though is it doesn't have anything printed on the spine.

You don’t need anything on the spine...it’s WHITE!
As for the Beauty book, it is a beauty but I can’t help but think "ooh, look, a dragon!", who’s only in it for five minutes, while dropping their signature villain. But you’re right that there’s something about Aurora that isn’t quite her.

The Best Buy Steelbook manages to showcase Maleficent in both forms:
I like the image they chose when the discs are not housed. Very pretty!

That would have been much more fitting regular white Sig Coll art.
I love how inconsistent this release is...none of the new SB logos are the same font!

If only it were intentional to match the fairies squabble; "Make it Pink! Make it Blue!".
