Anyway, I saw The Wild today, and was very impressed.
First off, anyone comparing this movie is off their rocker. Besides there being a lion, Giraffe, and going from new york to africa, none of the movie is anything like Madagascar. I liked it a lot. Especially everything to do with the Wildebeasts. I wasn't expecting any of that at all.
The very beginning of the movie was totally awesome too. They could have done the whole movie like THAT and it would have been amazing.

I also prefer 2d films personally, but I think some CGI can be awesome.
CGI tells a story, just like 2d.
And I think there has been talk of at least a partial return to 2d, via some scenes in Enchanted. Although I don't think that's due till 2008, unfortunately.
And stop-motion? Well, there was Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit and Corpse Bride had that "look" to it. Ditto Flushed Away!

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Well, Chicken Run and Wallace and Gromit were both DW weren't they? They produced and distributed those films, and Katzenberg flew back and forth to Bristol to check on their progress. Flushed Away is also DW. (being animated at DW Glendale studio although Aardman is basically calling the shots on it.)
There is actually still talk here and there of Tortoise and the Hare finally coming to fruition one day, once the story is straightend out. It may or may not be CGI but it will probably duplicate that Aardman stop motion "look." (at least that's my impression)
