Great review Ben - I have to set aside a block of time to get through your stuff but that's what makes them so great!
Sleeping Beauty was my very favorite Disney animated film before Beauty and the Beast came out. And is looks stunning on Blu-ray! I've only watched about five minutes because I want to savor watching it by making sure their will be no distractions and I can crank up the sound!
I don't know if I've ever mentioned it here before but I loathe the new menus Disney started using on their BDs about a year or so ago! Way too "text-y" and worse, when used in pop-up mode -- one of the huge benefits of BDs that lets you continue watching your movie while perusing the menu -- the video is shrunk to an unwatchable size while the text menu fills up the entire screen!

Thanks James.
Maleficent's flight from the top of her tower to the front of the castle (just before she becomes the dragon) was one of the very first Disney scenes I ever saw on TV, and I loved it.
My favorite of this kind is still probably Snow White, but it's a gorgeous film, and the best choice to start out the Blu-run. I've ordered mine from Amazon!

Nope...totally forgot!
Will pop one of those with the Dalmatians set in my basket next time I'm shopping at AmazonUK. Which should be in the next five minutes!
More seriously, this is what the Platinums should have been all along, worldwide. Totally ridiculous that the US packaging has hopped around so much when you think that even Snow White in the UK came with this approach.
