Well that looks awful…now we'll HAVE to take a look! ;)

Update: apparently it’s not on D+ here until March, but the trailer shows that it’s one to miss. It’s pretty bad when your new movie doesn’t even look as good as the twenty year old original! Despite one or two good looking shots, this does appear to be strictly TV-level stuff. Have to say, based on the trailer alone, the voices are quite well matched, but I wonder if Pegg was even involved in this before it became a "movie"? I have a feeling they may have pulled him in to record Buck's lines so as to give this at least one "name" in the credits, especially as he’s the lead. Either way, this doesn’t look like something to add to watch later…

To be fair, the first one looked pretty bad too, but had a wonderful story that overcame those issues.

To be real, yeah, this is gonna suck!

Xactly. But it’s pretty bad when the new one looks worse!

Animated News reported on the Ivy affair waaaay back. Like I said earlier, she's a nut! I remember doing a deep dive and finding so many holes in her story. The way she name dropped... Not to mention Sqrat solely existing as a 2D character while Scrat is 3D. Hopefully this pushes Disney into releasing Scrat Tails.

I'm sure Ivy will spin it as "it was in production before I WON the rights back" any moment now. ;)

Much better animation than the Buck Wild movie.

Yep, the benefit of being completed by Blue Sky Studios! Their last project supposedly.

Ice Age 6 announced at D23 Brasil, scheduled for a theatrical release in 2026.

Seems unnecessary, but this is the Age we live in.
