In Walker/Goldsman's script that was to be filmed...
...it wasn't an easy win.

Kryptonite batarang, anyone?

Isn't that what happens in EVERY 'superhero vs other superhero' thing??

That would be very cool. Walker/Goldman's script, though, had Batman wanting to kill Joker for killing Bruce Wayne's fiancee. Meanwhile, Joker traveled to Metropolis, where he and Lex were working on some scheme. As for Superman, well, he was the only thing standing in Batman's way of killing Joker, due to his moral beliefs. Hence, Batman became angry at Superman. Hence...

Batman vs. Superman! :)

The History Channel just did a documentary on Superman (as a pop culture icon and all.)

It was quite interesting.

Did anyone know there was a T.V. movie/musical featuring Superman during the 70's?

It wasn't pretty....

There was also interesting preproduction art on what Tim Burton wanted his version of Superman to be.

Hey, I think they had a similar theme in "A Death in the Family."

Batman wants to kill the Joker for what he did to Jason Todd, but Superman is there to make sure that he doesn't...Batman takes a swing at Clark and almost breaks his hand  Superman is a pretty good sport about it.

Batman finally decides he'll use the law to bring in the Joker.

Vi, I love the way you play catch up sometimes... :)

And I mean that in the nicest way. Yeah, the "It's A Bird!" musical in the 1970s wasn't pretty.

Almost as bad as the Superboy show of the 80s... :(

Yup...I know. :)

Yeah, or some episodes of Lois and Clark  (which they didn't discuss much, for some reason.)

Superman Returns mild "spoiler"
I liked Kitty in the movie, she was kinda funny but not TOO overly-funny in a self-consious way (which practically every L & C villain was.)

That is absolutely random but funny. I must agree in that how could you not tell its both Clark and Superman just one in different clothes and some glasses.

We have that documentary on DVD and I've watched it twice.

My God, "The Adventures of Super Pup" was a bad idea!

And Kitty Pryde is cool, I hope she's in the sequel if they make one.
Actually her name is Kitty Kowalski; Kitty Pryde is from X-Men.

(By the way her code name in the X-Men comics is Shadowcat.)
