Hey, has anyone noticed that the "skin" on the characters in Bee Movie is much smoother, less rendered and more cartoony than in previous DW features?
(particularly in the humans) http://www.animated-news.com/forum/view ... 67&start=0
It looks very Pixar-y, (like Incredibles.)
I think it's a big improvement!

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Y'know Spielberg is actually pretty good here! (Liked him in the Goldmember opening too! ) He has good comic timing!
Reminds me of how Tiny Toons and Anamaniacs used to put him in their shorts--not him of course, I think it was usually Frank Welker who played him. Same kind of humor, though.
Remember also how in Freakazoid, this one villain kidnapped all the nerds in the world including Spielberg? Ha ha!
Then they cut to Freakazoid and he goes: "Well, at least now we won't have to hear anymore of those 'DreamWorks' stories! Whew!" (This was back in 1995 when DW was basically all talk, no action--in that everyone was talking about them but no one knew what the real deal with them was, very much under wraps.)
"Y'know, ET was actually just play-dough and Chicken Wire!"
