Yeah, the doll sequences were quite beautiful. The rest of the movie not so much...

Here's hoping it happens this time! He would be perfect for the role.

I still just can't quite get past Martin Landau in the 90's movie. The rest of the movie, not so much, but he set a pretty high bar.

Re: Disney's Pinocchio (Live-Action)
Forgot about that one--
Was thinking "Yes, a mo-cap Pinocchio, but would they WANT the Christmas Carol/Mars Needs Moms director* back again?? "
[* - Dacey disclaimer: Yes, I know M3 was directed by the Time Machine-remake guy, and besides, Disney had already fired Zemeckis after Christmas Carol meant they wouldn't get another Christmas CGI. That doesn't mean Bob's not still trying to live it down, though.]

Re: Disney's Pinocchio (Live-Action)
Disney didn’t fire Bob Z...he never worked for them. He was a producer and director for hire on those films, having moved ImageMovers from WB to Disney to make Christmas and M3. They only declined to renew his option after the failure of that film, meaning that we never saw the photorealistic version of Yellow Submarine that had been being worked on.

Disney eyeing Stephen Graham and Alan Cumming as the Coachman and Honest John respectively:
Mr. Masterpiece Mystery would make a great choice for Honest John!
