Another redesign leak:
Way better!
It's interesting, had it not been for the hoopla getting the film delayed it would've opened this week. Pretty crazy. I don't envy that alternate reality.

New and improved trailer:
Again, MUCH better! Okay, well, the movie still doesn't look exceptional but at least Sonic looks like Sonic! He's so much more expressive. He looks great. Overall the trailer succeeds in every aspect where the last one failed. Has little music touches from the games and has a better song in the background. I am impressed! I now may just go see it!

Scary how Jim doesn’t even get his name on the poster, let alone above the title...

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I'm guessing that was by his request? Maybe even in his contract. He had his named dropped from Kick-Ass 2 promotion, too.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Yeah, it would be a contractual thing, and most certainly his wish, or at least okayed by him, but it’s an odd choice seeing as he looks to be basically the lead in this, even if he is a "villain".

The films official soundtrack:
Uh, I kinda miss Gangsta's Paradise!
Love the references though, the melody and the 16-bit visuals! That's the Sonic I know and love.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I'm game for this. The first Sonic was quite fun--and also one of the last movies I went to in theaters, so it's rather bittersweet for me in that regard (I hate myself for missing Onward on the big screen).
Fingers crossed that by 2022 everyone will be enjoying Sonic 2 with popcorn in their laps as they should be.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Pretty eerie, Sonic opened up a year ago today. I had wanted to go see it, but kept putting it off. Finally when I set a date, that's when the world stopped... Before I get more doom and gloom, I agree that it was fun! One of the best game-to-film adaptations. Lots of cool nods. After that awful initial trailer, I was not expecting something this good.
