Apart from teal. I could do without seeing any teal for a while.

There will be a 10 minute intermission inserted in the off chance it gets shown theatrically.

I'll probably split it over two nights. Depends on how much coffee I have the night I watch it. ;)

How many chances has this guy had to make a good DC movie? Been burned too many times to care about this one!

Just release the thing as the Part I and Part II it was designed as!

Or at least have the option on the disc to play with or without intermission. Although, really, I think I’m more with James: I wasn’t a huge MOS fan and almost hated BVS, so I don’t know why I’m getting my hopes up for this, other than just a simple hope, I guess, that he manages to pull it all together at the last hour (or four)...!

I'm expecting a dumpster fire. Still though, the curiosity of it all. ;)

First single from the soundtrack:

Not half bad. Really liked the homage to "Justice League Unlimited".

This is clearly for that small and intimate scene where a returned Clark talks to Lois quietly in the field.

...because there's *still* no HBOM anywhere else! They have to make it available somehow or else it’s going to be a major piracy issue for them, as that’s the only other option until, or unless people wait for, the disc.

Pretty in-depth recount on the "Snyder Cut" history.

In what may be a divisive move, he’s also presenting the movie in the boxy 4:3 format rather than wide-screen so that one day it can be watched on Imax screens. Some may be irritated by seeing Justice League on HBO Max with black bars on either side. Snyder isn’t troubled by that.
Ugh. I was hoping that was just for the black and white processed trailers. :(

When is this movie ever going to play Imax screens? And if it does, will it ever be for anything more than like a Fathom Events weekend special? So this "giant movie" isn’t going to have the epic sweep of a 'Scope frame, or even the flat widescreen 1.85 that we know from the released version is what it was shot for. Never in a million years was this framed and intended this way, and in this day and age is just going to look weird, like some odd throwback or, worse, the aspirations of a pretentious director. For all its epic length, it won’t have an epic *width*, and will just look like some boxy wrong or fake looking version of a film that we know should be wider. :(

#ReleaseTheWidescreenCut ;) ;)

Absolutely superb article. This is one I was waiting to see written. At last we get some true insight.

I didn't love his versions of the DC heroes, but I have a lot of respect for Snyder. The man has a vision. I fully agree with the quote from the article: "I would rather watch one person’s chaos than a committee’s snooze-fest.” If JL ends up being a mess, I'm okay with that. But I expect it will be much better than that, even if it's not "my" version of the characters. looknig forward to it!

The 4:3 thing is weird, but I can deal with it. It still fills my screen top-to-bottom!
