Re: Official Star Wars Thread
Lucasfilm and Studio Ghibli joined forces and released a new hand-drawn short today:

It's an ok little piece, almost 3 minutes long. Yes, very zen.

Yeah, meant to write "2" as that has the return of you-know-who which is a pretty huge spoiler!

No, I meant what Kathy Kennedy says about there being two seasons. But you need to watch Blobba Fatt as a mid-two to three-season series or Mando 3 won’t make sense. So two and a half seasons, but I see what you mean.

I donut quite buy this, as you can still be "mature" and not be crude (*and* still be for kids). We're deep into the series now, and I am enjoying it mostly, although around episode five/six it’s started to lag a bit, but the things that just don’t work for me are the cheap music scoring, and that (albeit occasional) cursing.Randall wrote: ↑February 4th, 2023, 3:34 pmYes, ironic that Andor is maybe the best of the shows, but the least "Star Wars" in some respects, and not really for kids - because of the cursing and the focus on plot and politics (you'll see). As someone else has said (paraphrasing), "It's Star Wars for grown-ups who loved Star Wars as kids."
Curse words are *not* Star Wars words. They don’t exist in that universe. Hence why we get much better alternatives such as Nerf Herders, which is the kind of thing that should have been said instead of "bastards". The intention would be just as clear, *and* keeping in universe. It cheapens and reduces what has otherwise been a decent series so far.

The Last Jedi had Poe Dameron refer to the gate of the abandoned Rebel base on Crait having a "big-ass door".

Also, doesn’t Lando say: “Oh, sshhh—“ at one point during Solo??
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Re: Official Star Wars Thread
There’s always been cursing in Star Wars. There’s a “damn” in the first movie for crying out loud. It’s nothing new to the series. And “Nerf Herder” was a joke, so including it in any serious scene would probably take away from the intended tone.

At least the puppet looks a little more fluid than it was in Blobba Fatt, when at times it seriously looked like they’d picked a toy off a shelf because the animatronics weren’t working!

Still need to see that. Like you were getting at above, sucks that we have to watch a spin-off to get answers on such an important plot line!

Re: Official Star Wars Thread
Yes, and that they haven’t really explained that will have a bunch of people who skipped it coming to Mando 3 wondering where Luke is and how Grogu is back with Mando.
Blobba really was Mando 2.5, especially given how much he basically turns up for the whole second half of the series. They should dovetail that in more and at least present it as a bridging season between the second and third, as this is essentially exactly what it was.
