Awesome trailer! I love how it focuses less on gags, and mostly on story.
Can't wait to see this movie.

Fantastic trailer, not getting my hopes up but I think this could be one of my favourite Dreamworks animated movies. Although from the trailer I fear it will end like nearly every cgi movie appears to end of recent years with a pointless fight scene between good and evil.

Yummy DreamWorks logo!
The rest looks better than expected, but there's not a lot "new" here in terms of the tone. And that head gladiator guy sounds just like Mike Myers in angry Shrek mode (cue someone telling me that is Mike Myers in angry Shrek mode).
As it goes on, it's funny how Baby: Secret Of The Lost Legend and Avatar come to mind, though for all the epic nature, is there really anything we haven't seen or heard before? "Man, I love this plan" - how many times has that been uttered in a movie!?
I hope we're only seeing the comedy/action aspects here but that some of that leads to some real emotion. There looks like there could be some of that in there, amongst the formulaic filmmaking, and I hope HTTYD has a bit more Panda-weight than just being funny and loud all the time...they have The Croods coming up for that.
Still...nice visuals!

I was acutally hoping there was not going to be some nitpicking about the trailer, but it seems you can't help that anywhere you go. Even if it's not original as "Up", or whatever PIXAR can dish out, it looks close to KFP in terms of story. And in a way, i couldn't pay attention to any of the cliches that were mentioned because of its awesome sounding STORYLINE.

Ahh, yes, I know him. Interesting mention that he's a voice for Winnie The Pooh.
And Elioli...people are going to nitpick trailers, scenes, characters, voices, marketing posters, campaigns - even titles! - for any anticipated movie. And if you really think that's an "awesome sounding storyline", then I'd suggest catching up on a good 100 years of movies that came before it. You'll find that exact same "awesome sounding storyline" play out about a million times.

Well, Ben, it's not like I haven't seen a movie with a similar sounding plot... in the past 100 years! Let me rephrase that, I was just saying that the narative aspect could be better than previous Dreamworks films and mabey that the reused storyline will play out into something fresh and exciting. I know it's not 100 percent original. I should have stated the name Dreamworks in my sentence then. But really, it's not like I've been living under a rock for so long to know that HTTYD doesn't have the one and only original storyline in the world. Don't worry, I realize that everyone including me gets a little nitpicky about a trailer, its just that I have high hopes for this film. That's all.

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Random and funny thoughts came to my head after watching this randomly searched video. You get the idea. Not to mention, he looks like one of the characters in there.

Did Dreamworks try to post this?
I also read the review CGIFanatic posted. Makes me want to see the movie when it comes out now.
Just out of curiosity, am I the only one that is put off by how they call themselves Vikings even though they live in an fantasy world?
