So, we're all guessing she will become Black Adam's Isis? (Isis was his wife in the 2000s comics.)

I was exited seeing Michael B. Jordan until I read "as a producer". Was never a big fan of the show, but did watch occasionally.

Did not see that coming...

Kind of a shame that we have to acknowledge the existence of the first Squad movie now...

Yeah, no mention has ever been made of Joker in JL. Also, I am a little surprised that Leto would come back to the role after all that happened, but he and Snyder probably both feel victimized by the same WB suits.

Genuine question cause a)I have a terrible memory and b)I didn't follow the original shoot religiously. How late into production did Snyder leave the original JL? Because for a movie that apparently had a secret cut that WB were refusing to release, this Snyder cut is having a lot of pick up shots and new material inserted. The way the fans were talking I was given the impression the movie was done except for post production but its sounding more and more like there was never anything close to a Snyder cut existing in the locked vaults.

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES
The movie was more than half shot, but only ever had an assemble cut, which is a very rough putting together of the footage as was. There was no real "Snyder cut" because the rest of the movie hadn’t been shot. If more had been done they would have either postponed it to allow Snyder to complete it, or brought in another director to finish the small amount left to do, but given that they brought in an entirely new A-list director to reshoot, reshape and complete a different version indicates that there was still much to complete (this back when it was intended to be two movies shot back to back, the break-point apparently being when Superman, er, returns).
My worry with this now is that clearly this is becoming something different to even what was originally planned, so technically it won’t even be "the Snyder cut" of the JL movie he was working on, since Joker was never scheduled to appear in that film. So we are already into the realms of 1) additional shooting other than finishing existing scenes, 2j reshooting of existing scenes to accommodate changes, and 3) moving away from Snyder's original intention. Hopefully this won’t become an egotistical mess and wish-fulfillment list of "oh, cool, we now have carte blanche to do whatever we want".

Since Snyder's vision isn't going to be continuing any way, he might as well go big or go home.

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES
This 'cut' really is turning into a brand new piece of entertainment that isn't really going to reflect the original plan Snyder had for what Whedon worked with. Comparing the two is really going to be like apples and oranges. This has definitely strayed away from the calls to release the elusive Snyder's cut to get Snyder to make a series from scratch but frame it with pieces of previous filmed stuff. It kinda feels like if fans asked for the some random cut of Last Jedi so the studio caves and what we got was literally Rise of Skywalker, a new film using unused footage of Carrie's performance for Jedi.
Personally I don't think this Snyder cut is gonna save the DC Universe. Warners issue stemmed from rushing anything Justice League related because they wanted money. Instead of taking the Marvel approach and slowly building the Universe. JL should not have even been on the slate until ALL members had their origin movie (including Batfleck). Big picture, my main issue with the JL movie that got to the screen is they had to crap in the origin stories of Aquaman, Cyborg and Flash just so the team could form. It never felt organic that they would all team up so quickly.

My fear now is indeed this...that Warners has got all excited about the reaction to the notion of a Snyder Cut, and Snyder has been given a blank check to try and do everything he was going to do in this and subsequent films in this one project, just in case it remains his one shot at "fixing" it all.Ben wrote: ↑October 22nd, 2020, 5:01 amMy worry with this now is that clearly this is becoming something different to even what was originally planned, so technically it won’t even be "the Snyder cut" of the JL movie he was working on, since Joker was never scheduled to appear in that film. Kind of not far off the TV Supergirl look, really, which is not that surprising.
