I was just looking at this image recently and noticed something I don't think has been spotted before:
The number on Lightning McQueen's car is 95. Knowing Pixar's penchant for inside jokes I doubt it's coincidence that '95 just happens to be the breakout year for Pixar when their very first feature film, Toy Story, was released! Both Toy Story and Cars were directed by John Lasseter.

Hey, that's pretty cool! I would have never noticed.

I dont know if anyone noticed this already (to lazy to check rest of the thread), in the teaser when they show a side view of Lightning McQueen the place where they put ads on the car are the logos of Toy Story 2 and A Bugs Life.

Well, here's another early opinion!

(not quite as positive)
Once again, third paragraph from the bottom.

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

The comedy is great (make sure you look at the Marquee of the drive-in theater) and the attention to detail is breath-taking. Wait for the DVD to see the "making of the art", where John sent the animators all out for a few weeks on Rte 66 -- they rented Cadillacs, had their sketch pads in hand and were not to stay in a hotel chain, nor eat in a "corporate" restaurant. The vistas and landscapes in the movie? Taken from real life.

Even from some of the people working at Pixar. My feelings? It is a decent movie and will do a little better than Incredibles. Since this film does not release until next Spring, Pixar has plenty of time to start production on their next film. This will get them a jump start on their goal of 1 film per year. I read somewhere that Pixar plans to release two films per year by 2009. Yeouch!

That's cute. Reminds me of how I used to be really into HotWheels. (had a collection many years ago)
