Yeah, I also just assumed it was PG after I saw it.
Eh, as I watched the film I did feel that some scenes were a bit risqué. But I think it only felt that way because I wasn't expecting it.
In the end, I didn't think it was a big deal. Just because it wasn't a typical "family friendly" film, doesn't mean that it wasn't appropriate for children. It's just different from what we're used to (a good thing in my opinion ).
Although my opinion might not really count on this. My parents let me watch Roger Rabbit over and over again when I was 6

So the "Rat" is rated PG in some countries? That makes sense. I thought for sure that it would receive a 'PG' rating here in America, but I guess not....
As for the whole "Welcome to hell" line: I thought it was hilarious -- best line in the whole film. Heck, look at my signature. I don't see what some people's problem is. Heh.
Thanks for the comment! And yeah, I am absolutely ecstatic. I can't get enough of the film! If I see it again tonight it will be the ninth time I will have seen it....

I went back to the movie on July 4. Enjoyed it just as much the 2nd time. Interestingly, sitting in front of me were 2 couples who were probably in their 60s; they seemed to really enjoy it. I know I should have more new notes than this, but 2 things that really cracked me up this time:
Also, I just got on Ebay this evening and started looking at the stuff. Wow, apparently there is a ton of merchandise out there! (There's even an Anton Ego plushie! Not to mention the Remy corkscrew and bottle-stopper set.) I like the Remy beach towel, the "Feed Me Emile" hand puppet, and the adorable coffee cups with the drawings of Remy & Emile in the style of the closing credits. But I'd still like to have
