Might get an unhelpful year-ahead teaser with "Princess & the Frog" in November--
Which also needed all the advance Lasseter-revisionism word it could get.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the D23 expo will provide us with plenty of eyecandy so we at least get some character designs and possibly even a teaser trailer! The panel is scheduled in for sunday morning at 11, untill 1 in the afternoon, which will preview stuff from all Disney/Pixar's upcoming animation projects...

As I said way above, I think it's a given that we'll see a teaser with P&TF in wide release in November/December.

Yeah, that's a must, but I'm wondering what they'll show of Rapunzel at the D23 event. Could be our first look of the actual character design!

I think it's a given, too. And hopefully it's a given it premiers online soon after and is not used as an added incentive to go see TPatF by being theater-only.

Well, I would think that Princess and the Frog being an impressive looking film as well as being a way to support hand-drawn feature animation would be incentive alone to see it theatrically. I'm sure they will put the teaser online. It would surprise me if they didn't.

I know that, I plan to see it opening night.

But Disney has pimped its features in the past through exclusives on DVDs or trailers only before certain movies.

...and then they make them available online anyway.

I hope there won't be too many early spoilers like in Bolt.

kinda offtopic but I made a sketch tonight based on that picture in the D23 magazine of Rapunzel standing on the black background and was quite happy with the result so I thought I'd scan it and post it. Not official Disney artwork, my own, just to make that clear...

That's awesome and looks just like a Disney concept sketch.

Rapunzel

It looks great, and yes, Disney could have made it! You did a really good job, and making that just from that one picture!

But, oh that Glen Keane, I really dislike that huge-eye look that started with Ariel...maybe this Rapunzel is rather young, I dunno... Just slightly more realistic eyes I wish for. Actually, maybe lips and ears, too.
