Hey Sully...thanks for the update.

I should say, in my humble defense, that I was going on the specs and talk of what the demo guys told me at the time, which was either last last year or early in Jan/Feb.

Either I wasn't getting the full dope, or things have jumped ahead in the past few months...I do remember the DLP thing being a stipulation, so obviously that's changed.

Personally, while it might add a bit of fun to things, I just don't find 3D that enticing enough to start wanting it in my home. What the heck are movie theaters going to be good for soon, anyway?

Oops - seem we have a split in topics!

The How To Train Your Dragon conversation will continue here, but the 3D movie discussion should carry on here:

I hope Sanders is happy at DreamWorks. His split from Disney was a sad ordeal to me.

A lot of interesting information on this article but what surprised me the most was hearing that James Baxter was working on “How to train your Dragon” full time. I really liked what he did on Kung-Fu Panda and I’m really looking forward to seeing what he comes up with on his next movie.

Anyone know if James and Chris Sanders ever worked together at Disney

Has anyone read the original novel? Is it any good?

Here is a concept image from the movie.

Apparently lithographs of it will be given away at the ComicCon show floor on Saturday.

Well, I think it looks pretty interesting. Sure everyone can have early opinions on this, but do remember, this is just concept art. They might changce the look and feel of the film alot before its done. It's still nice, even when its not your cup of tea.

I think they would inspire more confidence had they written "from the director of Lilo & Stitch", rather than "From the studio that brought you Magagascar."

Nice concept art, though.

I'm guessing that's because they don't want the film associated with Disney.
