I'm probably not as enthusiastic as you, Once. I was being sarcastic.

And someone dies while watching LMII? I'm not actually surprised! ;)

In case you didn't noticed I was sarcastic .
Me neither, thought she actually seen herself in that film (She played old "Ariel").
Daniel-Well,I don't think any cheapquel's animation can get to the level of the original film's,the animation is okay, thought the animation in Enchanted Tales was better, even the animation in Cinderella III looked a little weird.

Yea, Once was being sarcastic about the new DVD game, too.

Hey, I really want to know something. Ben, or anyone who can help, I caught that there's this technique where things move only about two frames at a time, and some things move on a different frame than other things move. Here's an example. The merpeople don't move, but the bubbles do:

I also caught this happening in The Little Mermaid II. So...is this a TV quality thing, a poor quality thing...or actually, something done in even Disney's best theatrical films?

It's done in all animation, Dust.

Most animation is actually drawn on twos (12 frames out of every 24). Even the Disney classics, if you actually look at most movement. 24 frames (or ones) are usually reserved for very fast movement or very slow, emotional acting.

In this case, the bubbles are more than likely a CG effect, which may as well be rendered out in 24 frames for more fluid movement, while the characters are typically moving at 12 frames. Just some of the tricks used to make some animation look/feel better than it actually is...

Yes.... Yes, it did. O___O And it took me a very long time to recover.

Which is why I refuse to touch TLMIII with a 40ft pole (still gonna read your review, though  ).

I forgot to post this! Jim Hill's take on LM:AB.
Jim Hill wrote:Let's start with the good news: "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning" isn't nearly as awful as "The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea" was.
Yay! :) But it's what we've been predicting. If Marina wanted Triton's position, that would maybe make her more of a baddie, but wanting Sebastians...? Lame.

Is anyone actually interested in the DVD deals?

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning

Post by Dusterian » August 19th, 2008, 7:25 pm

Thanks Ben, and actually, I think the bubbles are on the two's, too. As in, they move in one frame, then the merpeople move, then the bubbles, etc. I definately caught this happening with a dolphin and a splash of water in TLMII. The water moved, then the dolphin.

Yes, Marina should have wanted to take over as ruler and then turned out to be Ursula.

QUESTION: Any reason my signature is a link, not showing the picture?

It's because you don't have the Img tag - [img]IMAGE%20LINK[/img]. That should work. :)

Thanks, but I discovered that it's too big, that's why it's not working.

Also, I made this showing that yes, the bubbles don't movie every frame either, they're on the two's, too.

I don't know where else to say this, but I have to get it off my chest: the only reason I will see this at all is because of Benjamin.
