Just got back from demon slayer. Multiple families including little kids dressed as the characters and tons of DS shirts! We had kids' cosplayers at our showing! All the trailers were "safe" trailers other than ironic chainsaw man the goriest trailer. We even had goat, howls castle and tron kids' movies trailers and running man was the "family" edit trailer! They knew kids were going to this!
Movie itself was pretty fun. Last fight was really intense, and some kids were cheering during it.
The audience clapped at our screening. The amc parking lot was packed!

DS came in first again at the american box office. I think this is the first anime to win first two weeks in a roll. Passed $100m in america defeating pokemon the first movie in two weeks as highest grossing anime movie in america!

Trying to dig up confirmation as it's presently rumors, but it's believed Infinity Castle could play in China in a few weeks. Should it happen, the film could make a legitimate go at $1 billion.

For a film deemed to be the one to (re)launch a massive franchise, Superman really didn’t do that well, did it? Should have been top three or at least top five, and even that isn’t what Warners would have wanted. As much as (some) people liked it, no-one *loved* it, and audiences didn’t return for second and third viewings as it happening with Demon Slayer. I can’t see how this new iteration of the DCU makes it to ten years…
